Strange People

Okay. So I was standing in line at Costa Vida the other day. I was by the menu boards on the wall. The menu was on my right and I was facing the order counter. Some old guy stands like 6 inches away from my left side and STARES at the menu board. I clear my throat and say "Um, that's kinda uncomfortable" to which he replies "Are you talking to me?" "Yes" "What did you say?" "Um, nevermind *as I try and scoot forward a bit more* "Okay"

Then I hear him turn to his companion and say "Strange people."

Yeah, WHO was the one standing 6 inches away from me and getting in my personal space? Did you not see me there?

Excellence in Donuts is an understatement. Last week I stopped by and they were sold out at 10:30 in the morning. Must arrive early for best selection. Not diet friendly. Super yummy.

Communal Mailbox

I remember about 10 years ago when I went to visit my grandmother who lives in West Valley. I had something to deliver to her, and she was not at home. No problem, I'd just leave it in the mailbox. WRONG. I searched her entire porch. No mailbox. I went down to the curb. No mailbox. Guess what? The US postal service and/or West Valley City thinks that they can have one of these for every 20 houses. Annoying to the MAX. Someday I want to live in a neighborhood where these don't exist.

Ettiquette?

What exactly is proper etiquette for wanting to be nice to a neighbor, but not really wanting them to know who you are and where exactly you live? My dilemma: The husband/father of neighbors down the street was killed in a drive-by shooting last week. I took them a plant and a card and knocked, but no one answered. I hope it brings them some comfort. I hope they find some peace real soon.

Dolce and Gabana

I don't really know what it is with Dolce and Gabana. There seems to be a proficient amount of D and G window clings in West Valley.

Chinese House Progress

Drove by today. This is what I saw. I ask again, where is the front door? Are they going to build some huge stair case, like a palace? We'll just have to wait and find out :)

Food for sale

This guy came peddling food from a shopping cart.

He found a few customers on my street.
